drchuckie I was at this concert! Had no idea this was their first gig. Have been a fan since then. I own virtually everything they ever recorded. I have everything but the vinyl. I wore them out years ago. Just love this band!!
After the concert my friend Gary and I scoured record stores looking for an album. Later that summer we found the first LP and it was on!!

Tom Lyle This is Cactus at their best! Playing as if they have something to prove! I’m a lifelong fan of (original) Cactus, and this is one of those better late than never releases that should have been in my collection 40 years ago!

Formed in 1970 by drummer Carmine Appice and bassist Tim Bogert of Vanilla Fudge, guitarist Jim McCarty of Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, and singer Rusty Day of the Amboy Dukes, Cactus was often referred to as the "American Led Zeppelin".
